Archery hunting for elk is one of the most exciting hunts a bow hunter can go on! It is a very high quality hunt with lots of action. Bull elk are in the rut and that means bugling. It is not uncommon to hear 4 to 5 bulls bugling in one canyon. Bulls can come charging in , or it may take 2 to 3 hours to finally call a big bull into bow range.

The elk in our area do not migrate, they remain here year round. They are scattered from the valley bottoms at 5000 feet to the mountain ridges, the highest elevations averaging about 7000 feet. Logging trails and hiking trails penetrate certain areas allowing the hunter easier and faster access. There is no doubt in our minds this is one of the most exciting and rewarding hunts an archer can go on.

Our archery hunts are a 1 on 1 full service hunt that includes home cooked meals, cabins with beds and propane heat, game retrieval, transportation to and from the Bozeman airport. Price includes your Montana non resident combo license. You will arrive after 12:00 am of the first day of your hunt and hunt that evening, you will depart after the morning hunt on the last day of your hunt.

Bows should have least 70# draw weight or more. Arrows must weigh at least 500 grains. We don’t allow mechanical broad heads that open on impact; we’ve lost too many animals with these. A good heavy 3 or 4 bladed broad head is recommended. We don’t recommend carbon arrows; the material they’re made of doesn’t allow a bad hit animal to heal. Over draws are ok. Learn to use a hands free type cow elk call. Archery hunters will be required to shoot a target with a guide before they hunt.

7 day Archery Hunts-$6500.00

Your Montana elk/deer combination license is included in the price of your full service hunt. The deer license is included so you will be able to take that 170 plus B&C inch mule deer if we happen to see him while elk hunting. You will arrive the first day of your hunt and hunt that evening, on the last day you will hunt in the morning and depart that afternoon. Hunters on the first hunt will not be able to hunt till the next morning and will hunt all of the last day leaving in morning of next day.

2013 archery hunts are $6500.00

Sept. 6^th to Sept 14^th -- 3 openings

Sept. 15^th to Sept 22^nd -- no openings

Sept. 24^th to Oct. 1^st -- no openings

**Oct 3^rd to Oct. 10^th** -- 3 openings

** Last archery hunt is $5000.00 plus $1500.00 trophy fee for bulls taken **

These hunts are sold first deposit has first choice of openings. A 25% deposit is required to book a hunt with another 25% due along with the submittal of your license application, balance due at time of hunt. Deposits will be refunded if you are unable to obtain your license otherwise deposits are non refundable.
